Trim Levels
Porsche makes the 2022 911 in a trio of body styles. First, pick from the coupe, the Cabriolet convertible, and the half-fixed roof Targa. Now, configure your choice in six trims, including Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera GTS, GT3, Turbo, and Turbo S.
This sports car's timeless design is unmistakable. Porsche's designers have barely touched its silhouette since the 1960s, and its iconic flying shape has inspired every model after it. However, you can add a custom spin with the Aerokit. It features restyled front and rear bumpers and a fixed-position rear wing.
Engine
The most significant change for 2022 is the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six under the hood of the GTS variant. It's good for 473 horsepower and delivers nearly instantaneous acceleration. The new 911 wouldn't be a Porsche without the track-focused GT3. Its 4.0-liter V-6 is the only naturally aspirated engine in the lineup, and it tops out at 199 mph with the standard manual gearbox.
The base Carrera has a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 with 379 horsepower and a standard eight-speed dual-clutch automatic, while the Carrera S comes with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 that makes 443 horsepower. The 3.8-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder makes 572 horsepower in the Turbo trim or 640 horsepower on the Turbo S.
Performance
Interior
You'll find seemingly endless luxuries inside the 911's modern cabin, from supple upholstery to trim pieces of brushed metal, wood, or carbon fiber. From body-hugging front seats and upscale materials to plenty of technology, this Porsche sets the standard for the high-performance luxury car with available features like an air ionization system and a sunroof.
Porsche updates its infotainment system for 2022. It features the latest software, including standard Android Auto. It also offers a 10.9-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, two USB ports, and navigation, plus an eight-speaker stereo and satellite radio.
Safety Features
Your safety behind the wheel is important to Porsche. That's why they equipped the new 911 with advanced safety features like forward collision warning, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and forward automatic emergency braking.
Add from a suite of available driver assistance features like traffic sign recognition and night vision assist. Also optional are adaptive headlights, automatic high-beam headlights, surround-view parking camera system, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.
