Putting grins on drivers’ faces and other luxury sports cars to shame since its debut in 1963, the 911 is an icon of the marriage of luxury and raw, unbridled power. There are many tiers and trims of the 2024 Porsche 911 to choose from, but one thing’s for sure: they’re guaranteed to get your heart pounding in your chest.

6 Trim Levels of the 2024 Porsche 911

1. 911 Carrera and Carrera 4

With a ready-to-run 3.0-liter H-6 engine that puts out 379 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque, even the entry-level 911 can hurtle you from zero to sixty in just four seconds and hit 182 mph on the track.

The Carrera is available in hardtop and cabriolet models, while the Carrera 4 adds all-wheel-drive for increased traction and performance and adds the spunky Targa body type to its lineup.

2. 911 Carrera T

The T is the touring-oriented version of the 911, and that focus on performance means changes both inside and out. While the power plant is the same as the base model, the T comes paired with a manual transmission standard. Everything from glass to insulation has been thinned to reduce weight, while the rear seat has been eliminated entirely.

3. 911 Carrera S and 4S

Coming in both hardtop and Cabriolet body types, the S and 4S models offer an upgraded engine, boosting horsepower up to 443 and torque to 390 lb-ft, meaning that accelerating to 60 from a dead stop can take as little as 3.6 seconds.

4. 911 Carrera GTS and 4 GTS

Adding another 30 horsepower and lb-ft of torque on top of the S model while also deleting the rear seat, the GTS manages to shave the zero-to-sixty time down to just 3.3 seconds. The 4 GTS adds all-wheel drive for better traction and performance.

5. 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S

If raw power is what you crave, look no further than the 911 Turbo. The Turbo is powered by a twin-turbo, 3.6-liter, H-6 power plant that puts out 572 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, while the Turbo S outputs a mind-boggling 640 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, propelling you to highway speed in just 2.7 seconds and able to hit a top speed of over 200 miles per hour.

6. 911 GT3, GT3 with Touring Package, and GT3 RS

Ready for the racetrack, the GT3 and its sisters put out north of 500 horsepower and hit top speeds of over 180 miles per hour thanks to a 4.0-liter power plant, all while offering sharper responsiveness, larger air intakes, and redesigned aerodynamics.

The 911 has long been the favorite of many driving enthusiasts worldwide, and it’s easy to see why. Schedule a heart-pounding test drive at Porsche Stevens Creek in Santa Clara CA.
