Trim Levels
With five trim levels to choose from, you can find the Boxster to fit your desires and budget. The base model 718 Boxster, starts at $63,350. Next up is the Boxster T starting at $70,250 and the Boxster S coming in at $73,250. For a real blast of performance and speed, the top-of-the-line Boxster GTS starts at $90,250.
Performance Engines
What would a Porsche be without speed, and the Boxster does not disappoint. The base model Boxster and the Boxster T come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter flat-four cylinder 300 horsepower engine with 280 pound-feet of torque. This will take you from 0-60 in a rather quick 4.9 seconds with a top track speed of 170 miles per hour. Take a step up in power with the Boxster S and its turbocharged 2.5-liter flat-four cylinder engine giving you 350 horsepower and 309 pound-feet of torque. The S will get you from 0-60 in 4.4 seconds with a top track speed of 177 miles per hour. But if you want top speed, then rise up to the Boxster GTS with its 4.0-liter flat-six cylinder engine with 350 horsepower. It will take you from 0-60 in 4.3 seconds with a top track speed of 182 miles per hour.
Crisp Handling
The 718 Boxster is a mid-engine roadster ready to give you a balanced, racing car feel in your everyday driving. All Porsche Boxsters come with Porsche Stability Management, an automatic control system that improves traction under acceleration. Optional on the 718 and 718 T is Porsche Torque Vectoring to enhance torque distribution to the rear wheels. PASM suspension is available on the T and GTS models resulting in top cornering performance.
Technology
The 718 Boxster features a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay. Porshe Connect app will help you control your Boxster’s vehicle systems from the convenience of your smartphone. A six-speaker audio system is standard, but you can upgrade your listening experience with a 10-speaker Bose system or a 12-speaker Burmester audio system. With optional Porsche Entry and Drive, your Boxster door will unlock without you taking the key out of your pocket.
Boxster 25 Years
A new limited edition version of the Boxster is the Boxster 25 years, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the mid-engine car. For a starting price of $98,600, you get a naturally aspirated boxer 6 cylinder engine with 394 horsepower, 309 pound-feet of torque and a top track speed of 182 miles per hour. It comes with a Sport Chrono package with launch control and a steering-wheel-mounted drive mode selector as well as cool-looking five-spoke copper 20-inch wheels.
